It's pretty amazing that despite Japan's population density, they still preserve huge parks and gardens in the center of the city. We visited Meiji Jingu, which is just next to Harajuku station. While walking towards the main shrine, you are completely surrounded by trees, that you could almost forget that there are skyscrapers outside. That is, until you hear the sound of a train arriving.
Unlike some of the shrines in Kyoto, this one didn't seem as busy, and there weren't as many women
dressed in kimono around, but it was still nice to take a walk through it.
We didn't make a wish this time, as I think we've been pretty lucky this trip so far and I don't want to push our luck.
Short post today, as our trip is coming to an end, and we don't really have anything planned but shopping, so the next few posts will probably all be food related.
