You might be wondering why I wrote about Melbourne Cup Day yesterday and not today, when it is actually Melbourne Cup Day. The answer is that it's because today is Kladdkakans dag - Chocolate Mud Cake Day in Sweden.
I tried making kladdkaka, but I cooked mine for too long, so it doesn't have that fudgy centre. :( I pressed it, and it didn't crack, so I left it in for 2 minutes 30s, and it still didn't crack, so I did another 2 min 30s, but I guess that was too long. Next time I'll stop at 20 minutes.
It still tastes nice, especially with ice-cream.
I don't have much else to say, I just wanted to celebrate such a wonderful day. Yet another thing that makes me want to move to Sweden.
