Restaurant Review - Moo Moo Pho

MrFodder and I went to Moo Moo Pho for dinner tonight.

It's a Vietnamese fusion restaurant, that does pho, other rice and noodle dishes, and burgers.

I ordered the Miss Piggy - pork belly with mustard, green apple, lettuce and onion. The pork belly was nicely cooked, and the crackling was soft enough to eat without that terrible cracking coming off and having to eat it all at once thing. The chips were flavoured with curry, but the flavouring wasn't that strong, and towards the end, it tasted like eating plain salted chips, which was a little disappointing. I never would have thought to pair pork, mustard and apple, but it worked really well.

MrFoddered the Phoger with super spicy chips.

This was really messy to eat (we swapped burgers halfway). The sauce was nice and strong, but dripped everywhere. The chips also had the same problem, of being good at the start, but kinda bland towards the end.

Both of us thought the Miss Piggy burger was the better out of the two. The food came out pretty quickly, and both of us left feeling quite full.

$34 for a couple of burgers and chips seems like a lot though, given how cheap some of the burger places are - but I guess they specialise in burgers, whereas this place has more variety.  I also liked the novel flavours, as having beef or chicken burgers can get quite old.
